Chris De Neef (°1963) invites you to explore her very personal expression of an inner world, influenced and often turned chaotic and troubled by the ongoing flow of events in daily life or worldwide, interpersonal human actions, family life and nature.

In the search for a method to rearrange, to connect with this info and the feelings that are present or released, images are formed in a way they can show a meaning, or can be understood by any one.

The tactility, the touching in all senses, is expressed in images and is literally tangible in the material. Gouache is scraped off like a skin, semi-dried surfaces are mixed with new layers. As if by creating a new shell, the soul is exposed.
